The Business Travel Event of the Year
The Business Travel Event of the Year
Today’s travel professionals are being defined by emerging technologies which have transformed the modern managed travel experience. Every day, new roles and responsibilities are being created for travel buyers—to include procurement, human resources, security/risk mitigation, and meetings management. In addition, new security risks have altered the very identity of the travel professional, who must now factor current geopolitical issues into consideration.

Welcome to GBTA Convention 2019—where the next generation of travel professionals meet world-class education and networking with industry-leading suppliers. Join us in Chicago from August 3 – 7 for The Business Travel Event of the Year® featuring 400+ exhibiting companies, 175+ education & professional development sessions and nearly 7,000 attendees representing over 50 countries.

How Technology Impacts Traveller Behaviour & Safety
Corporate travel is an ever-changing environment, with travel managers’ relying on technology to manage their growing responsibilities in travel management, risk management, and employee satisfaction. However, business travellers continue to book through alternative channels, which creates significant challenges in capturing all traveller data, maintaining savings from negotiated rates, and fulfilling traveller safety responsibilities.
Over the past four years, GBTA has partnered with SAP Concur to explore business traveller booking behaviour and preferences, and how booking behaviour affects the moral and legal responsibility of duty of care. This webinar aims to examine this topic in greater depth, looking at the ways in which technology can play a role in traveller booking behaviour and, in turn, keep travellers safe.
